Man is branded 'lazy' for praising his wife for doing laundry seven days after giving birth

A video of a new mother doing the laundry just a week after giving birth has sparked furious debate online - with many questioning why her husband isn't pitching in.

Andrew Campisi, 35,  from Orlando, Florida, filmed his wife Katelyn, 24, putting clothes into the washing machine at their home.

Beginning the clip on a positive note, he asks: ' Can you believe she had a baby seven days ago? Oh my god, you look great'.

But Katelyn then smirked at her husband and retorted: 'Can you believe I had a baby seven days ago, and I'm the one who's doing the laundry?'.

Stunned, Andrew then jokes: 'I take it back, you look like s***'.

Uploading the video to their TikTok account, the influencer couple captioned it: 'Laundry is great for post-pregnancy vibes'.

While Katelyn insisted that she felt great so wanted to do some laundry, people were quick to criticise the couple.

'The correct reaction should have been: "Yes, babe. I'm so sorry. I'll help you."'

'She had that comeback ready because she was already pre annoyed about it,' said one.

'Not him taking the compliment back AFTER she called him out on his bs,' wrote another.

'So she has now 2 babies to take care of?' added a third.

'She laughs, but she’s truly upset about it,' commented another.

'Literally my first thought- she had a baby seven days ago and YOU’RE not doing the laundry??' wrote one.

Laughing off the criticism, Andrew made a follow up video where he wrapped his wife in bubble wrap.

Speaking to The Independent, Katelyn said that the pair 'constantly roast each other' and they want to show their humour online.

'In that video in particular I had decided to switch the laundry while he tended to the kids because I just wanted to do something that felt normal,' she said.

'We both meant nothing we said in our comebacks which is the funniest part to us. We just mess with each other, it's that simple.'

She added that some people thought it was a 'cry for help' but insisted it was 'all fun and games'.
