Inside Halle Berry's Stunning $18M Waterfront Home for Sale

Publish date: 2024-10-20

Actress Halle Berry has put her Malibu mansion on the market for $18 million.

Located in the exclusive gated community of Malibu Cove Colony, the 5,000 square feet beach house includes three bedrooms and five bathrooms, sits directly on the beach and is surrounded by ocean and coastline.

Built in the 1990s, the Oscar-winner purchased the property in 2004 for $8 million and undertook a total remodel, with the design's curved lines and decor inspired by the surrounding ocean.

The 57-year-old currently splits her time between the beach house and her place in Hollywood Hills, with the Malibu Cove home acting as a weekend retreat.

It was the location's privacy that made the Monster's Ball star fall in love with the property.

"My home sits on a beach but it feels very private because it's at the end of the cul-de-sac, so there were never any crowds," she told The Wall Street Journal. "I've always loved the ocean."

However, Berry said she's now "looking to create a new magical space."

Berry's Malibu mansion is loft-style, with the main floor featuring a large, open-plan living area that encompasses a den, kitchen, and dining nook. Guests enter via an entry foyer, where they're greeted by the light, airy—yet compact—living space.

Along with high ceilings, skylights and seemingly never-ending windows, the sleek, contemporary abode's main floor also has a fireplace and hard-wood floors.

With the chef's kitchen deceptively tucked away behind a small bar and seating area, the living-room set faces the floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing sitters to enjoy the sea-view outside.

The chef's kitchen contains granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, and is tucked away by a small bar and seating area.

The top floor of Berry's home features three large bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom. The master bedroom contains a private sitting area with another fireplace, more floor-to-ceiling windows and a walk-in closet, along with a luxurious spa bathroom complete with marble and limestone fixtures and an ocean view.

There are multiple decks scattered throughout the property—including one on the roof—offering multiple ocean views.

There is also a loft, which Berry used as an office space and features yet another fireplace and a deck overlooking the street. The loft's balcony leads to a rooftop deck, where the A-lister has placed an outdoor living set and a dining table.

The mansion is being sold via Carol Wood Real Estate, and is described in the listing as a "dramatic architectural achievement" that offers "sophisticated living at its finest in the most private and serene setting."
