'RHOA' Recap: Sheree Whitfield, Kenya Moore Continue Their Brawl

Publish date: 2024-10-26

There’s nothing like a mother’s love — though it does seem to make life a lot harder for the mother. On the Sunday, November 27, episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, many of the ladies were struggling with new chapters with their children. Some of these were happy occasions … others, not so much. Meanwhile, Kenya Moore and Sheree Whitfield continued their bickering over their respective homes, proving that just because you’re a grown woman doesn’t mean you’re not still a child.

Noelle Becomes the Face of Cargo

In an attempt to bring her daughter into the modeling world, Cynthia Bailey made her teenager daughter, Noelle, the face of Cargo, Cynthia’s new handbag collection. At the event, Noelle acted like a typical teen, spending lots of time on her phone (not paying much attention to the work at hand) and complaining that her feet hurt.

Eventually, however, Cynthia was able to coax Noelle out of her chair and get her to do her job — and when the giant ad was revealed featuring Noelle front and center, she actually seemed pretty thrilled. “This is awesome!” she said as she hugged her mom. “Thank you so much!”

Noelle’s father, Leon Robinson, also came by for the big day and took Cynthia and Noelle out to dinner after to celebrate. (Disclaimer: Noelle left early to go to a concert with her friends, so she didn’t actually attend her celebration dinner.)

Cynthia Breaks Down to Her Ex-Husband

Once Noelle had departed, Cynthia confessed to Leon that she had decided to divorce Peter Thomas. She said she was sad because she had “put a lot” into the marriage. Leon nodded knowingly, but said, “Personally, I thought it was a little rushed.” That’s around the time Cynthia broke down in tears, admitting that there had been issues from the start, even on their wedding day, but she had gone through with it because she wanted to prove everyone wrong. Leon then admitted he’d actually left the wedding early because he was uncomfortable seeing Cynthia seem so unhappy on what was supposed to be such a happy time. As their dinner wrapped, Cynthia plucked off her false eyelashes and Leon told her he always thought she was most beautiful when she was fresh-faced anyway.

Bob Finally Apologizes to Sheree

After much cajoling, Sheree finally agreed to have dinner with her ex-husband, Bob. She said, however (many times), that she was still upset because he had never actually apologized for either his infidelity or abandoning his family. Her kids wanted her to give him a second chance, but she wasn’t there yet.

When they met, she was glammed up and Bob showed up in a T-shirt, which wasn’t a great start as far as she was concerned. The mood shifted, though, when he finally gave her that long overdue apology. “I’m sorry if I ever made you feel that I put someone else ahead of you,” he began. She said it was “disrespectful” that he’d brought other women into the house, which he didn’t deny. “I’m sorry for the extramarital affairs. I did do some mean stuff, and I’m sorry for subjecting you to an immature man not ready to be a father for the children, but this is just a starting point,” he said. Sheree didn’t say much in response, but it was clear her attitude towards him had softened. (Maybe the kids would get their wish after all … eventually.)

Sheree Calls Kenya a Ho

In an attempt to bring everyone together to discuss helping out at a charity event for the children in Flint, Michigan, Phaedra Parks organized an outing of laser tag followed by drinks. Phaedra, Kandi Burruss, Sheree and Kenya Moore all came out, but Sheree and Kenya quickly turned the conversation from the kids in need to each other. Kenya first accused Sheree of holding onto their fight for too long, noting that she had just left everything they’d said to each other at the door.

“You called me a ho when everyone knows that you’ve been the biggest ho in Hollywood!” Sheree said. “Everyone knows you f–ked half of Hollywood,” she added. Kenya began to argue some other point that didn’t make much sense when Sheree corrected her and said, “What you’re doing is overtalking me, bitch.”

Kandi dug into the food to avoid getting involved, but jumped in briefly when Kenya told Sheree she looked “stupid in that Mama Joyce wig” she was wearing. Kandi wanted them to leave her mother out of it (and rightfully so). At the end, nothing was really resolved, but no one slapped each other either, so it was progress.

Block Wants to See Riley

Meanwhile, Kandi told her mom how Block Spencer‘s girlfriend had showed up to ask Kandi if there was any chance to get Block back in their daughter Riley’s life. Kandi wasn’t very warm on the idea, considering he had never paid child support or shown much interest in Riley to this point, but said she wasn’t going to “push” or “dis” the relationship. In other words, it was up to Riley if Riley saw Block. Mama Joyce thought Kandi should get on the radio and expose Block for being the deadbeat dad he was, but Kandi didn’t seem to think that would help things (and she was probably right).

Later, while Kandi was driving with her mom, Block called. “I don’t want no bad blood going on so we can coparent the right way,” he said. “How do you coparent a kid that’s almost 14 years old that you’ve never coparented? No, it don’t work like that!” Kandi said to the camera.

She then encouraged Block to communicate with Riley directly, prompting him to declare, “I’m not chasing nobody.”

Kandi got suddenly emotional. “Had you been doing what you supposed to do, you wouldn’t have to chase nobody!” she said as tears welled in her eyes. “You irritate me how every other year you say, ‘Oh, I’m going to do better’ and every time you do the same s–t. I’m tired of it.” After she hung up, she turned to her mother and cried, “Don’t tell me you ain’t going to chase my child, you should chase her!” Mama Joyce was uncharacteristically quiet.

Tell Us: Do you think there’s any hope for Riley’s relationship with her dad?
